About Me

I’ve spent my career in healthcare and human services, working across industries like Medicare, workforce development, emergency management, multi-specialty practice management, clinical research, and medical billing. I’ve always had a deep passion for healthcare—truthfully, I probably should’ve become a doctor, if not for that pesky aversion to actually operating on people. So instead, I found my calling in healthcare administration, where I get to make systems work better for real people.

I hold a BA in Gerontology and Liberal Studies from Mount Saint Mary’s University and an MA in Gerontology from USC. I’m also a Certified Case Manager (CCM), and I’ve earned certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Ethical Leadership, and End-of-Life Doula proficiency through the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA). My experience is deeply personal, having dealt with chronic illness for over 30 years, navigating my healthcare as well as navigating the care of my mother, who was on dialysis for 14 years, before hospice, and being her death doula. I’ve supported friends and loved ones through hospice conversations, medical advocacy, and the sacred space of active dying—and in 2025, I formalized that experience to expand my services to the public at large.

One of the things I love most is helping people understand “medicalese.” Whether it’s translating complex healthcare language, reviewing medical bills for accuracy, or appealing insurance denials, I’m here to make the confusing parts of healthcare feel a little more manageable. As a case manager, I also help clients navigate care coordination, discharge planning, and long-term support options with clarity and compassion.
I support individuals and families with preparatory documents like Durable Power of Attorney, Living Trusts, and Wills, and can connect you with trusted professionals when needed. My goal is always to empower people with knowledge, dignity, and a sense of control—especially during vulnerable moments.

If you or someone you care about could use a helping hand—whether it’s navigating end-of-life care, decoding a medical bill, or figuring out what questions to ask—I’d be honored to help. My services are available on a sliding scale because I believe everyone deserves clarity, advocacy, and support.
